What is a referee?

The Referee’s job is to be the official in charge of the match. He/she is the independent arbiter and manager of the match. A referee’s authority extends to everyone at the field, including players, substitutes, team officials, spectators, and assistant referees.

Why should you become a referee?

Without a referee, our kids can't play games! It is rewarding and it's fun to see our kids have fun!

A referee's first and foremost concern is the safety of the players on the field. This includes safety concerns due to field conditions, spectators, equipment, and other players. The best way to do this is by enforcing the Laws of the Game
